This meeting is part of the initiatives of the University of Bologna approaching EXPO2015.

Food waste and by-products, efficient value chains, new and more sustainable resources stand as some of the main present and future challenges globally. Science, technology and society are called to deal with them, strengthening European competitiveness and leadership in food sustainability.

Common strategies and collaboration among Academia, Industry and Society can be considered as main drivers of success.

The event aims at offering a common platform to some of the main European stakeholders in the field, in order to discuss priorities, innovative solutions and ongoing initiatives through their vision and experience.
