Call for Papers: "The Possibilities and Limits of Social Economy: What the Facts Show"

Economic models and social innovation projects.

The contributions should deal with concrete actors, operating in Europe or elsewhere, and describe the institutional context in which they work. We are as interested in self-sustained business models (such as production cooperatives) as in models that are subsidized in part or entirely, or that operate under government contract – in each case, however, the business model at hand should be clearly presented.

The term "social economy" should not be taken in a legalistic and restrictive sense.

Deadline for submission: June 31, 2011.

The article should consist of 20,000 to 40,000 characters. The royalties for articles selected (on the basis of abstracts) will be 600 Euros.

Proposals should consist of an extended abstract.

 Interested individuals should send their abstracts to W. Kalinowski, kalinowski@veblen-institute.org, or call him at +33-(0)1 43 14 73 68 +33-(0)1 43 14 73 68.
