Poster Award at the London School of Economics

Who won the Poster Prize? A young research fellow from the University of Bologna.

Luca Savorelli, research fellow of the Department of Economics and visiting at the London School of Economics, on May 26th was awarded two prizes at the first London School of Economics Poster Exhibition. The research poster (see attachment), titled "Increasing the size of fashion models?" is based on the paper written with Davide Dragone "Thinness and Obesity: A Model of Food Consumption, Health Concerns, and Social Pressure".

The first prize (the London Research and Consulting Group Prize) was awarded by the LSE pro-director committee.

The second prize was awarded by the popular votes of the visitors of the exhibition. Over 200 people attended the event and the winning posters are now on display in the entrance of the LSE Library. See the brochure of the event.

Luca Savorelli will present the paper on June 26th at the Public Economic Theorist 2010 conference in Istanbul.

Luca Savorelli is research fellow of the Department of Economics, and since October 2009 visiting research student at the STICERD Centre at the London School of Economics, collaborating with Oriana Bandiera and Greg Fischer on a project about culture and incentives in the workplace.
